The subject matter for
this the 21st year of David
Winter Christmas Cottages,
is Good King Wenceslas taken
from the Christmas Carol of
the same name.
King Wenceslas was
actually a 9th Century
Bohemian King and in this
piece David has imagined and
sculpted his Royal FOrest
Lodge at Christmas time.
Sculpted in exquisite
detail, below the balcony
that the King looked out on
the Feast of Stephan is a
little collection of
provisions and pine logs in
keeping with the words of
the carol.
